Commander in Chief awarded with the "Pro Memoria" medal |

on 26th March 2012 Commander in Chief of the Border Guard Brigadier General Leszek Elas was awarded the "Pro Memoria" medal by the Offcie for War Weterans and Victims of Opression. The medal was awarded for special merits in strenghtening and treasuring the memory of the Polish nation's struggle for independence the people and their actions during World War II and after it.


During the ceremony of this prestigious awards, which took place at the Palace on the Isle of the Royal Łazienki, c.a 90 persons were awarded the "Pro Patria" medals for merits in spreading the memories of struggles for independence of Poland. The medals were handed by the Acting Head of the Offce for War Weterans and Victims of Opression Jan S. Ciechanowski.
